Direct Flooring & Carpets Ltd – Terms & Conditions of Sale

1. Definitions

  • “DFC” refers to Direct Flooring & Carpets Ltd, 44 Bolton Street, Ramsbottom, BL0 9HX.

  • “Customer” refers to the purchaser of goods and/or services from DFC.

  • “Goods” refers to flooring products supplied by DFC.

  • “Installer” or “Fitter” refers to independent subcontractors recommended by DFC but not employed by DFC.


2. Orders & Deposits

  • A minimum 50% deposit is required at the time of order placement.

  • Orders for bespoke or cut-to-measure goods are non-cancellable and non-refundable once manufacturing has commenced.

  • The balance of payment is due prior to delivery or fitting.


3. Payment Terms

  • Accepted methods include credit/debit card, bank transfer, and cash.

  • All balances must be cleared before fitting commences.

  • DFC reserves the right to withhold delivery or cancel services if payment terms are not met.


4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Orders may only be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order unless production has started.

  • Deposits are non-refundable on bespoke orders.

  • No refunds will be issued for goods that have been cut, altered, installed, or used.


5. Delivery & Installation

  • DFC supplies goods only; installation services are provided by independent subcontractors.

  • Customers are free to use their own installer.

  • Where DFC recommends a fitter, the customer enters into a separate agreement directly with the installer.

  • The installer is paid directly by the customer and is required to carry their own public liability insurance.

  • DFC accepts no liability for fitting workmanship, errors, or damage caused during installation.

  • It is the installer’s responsibility to carry out moisture testing prior to fitting. DFC strongly recommends photographic evidence be obtained.

  • Subfloors must be clean, level, and dry. DFC is not responsible for delays or costs arising from unprepared or damp subfloors.


6. Quality & Product Warranty

  • All goods supplied by DFC are new and conform to the specifications stated at the time of purchase.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to goods supplied; DFC does not provide additional warranties.

  • Claims for defective goods must be made within 7 days of delivery.

  • No liability is accepted for product failure caused by subfloor issues, poor installation, or moisture ingress.


7. Liability

  • DFC’s liability is limited to the replacement of faulty goods or a refund of the original purchase price.

  • DFC shall not be liable for any fitting costs, third-party losses, consequential damages, or loss of income.

  • DFC is not responsible for delays due to suppliers, transport issues, or force majeure events.


8. Consumer Rights

  • Nothing in these terms affects the Customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


9. Data & Privacy

  • Customer data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on request or at www.directflooringandcarpets.co.uk/privacy-policy).

  • No personal data is shared with third parties without consent, except where required to process your order or legal obligations.


10. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
